.When I read the press release made by Barcelona’s food bank, I was surprised to see how an NGO was seeking to collaborate with the private sector. Still, the purpose was coherent: offering the opportunity to give away their stock surpluses to those who did not have the resources to afford them. The main target of the campaign was companies that were already following corporate social responsibility.
Although the press release warned about the increase in vulnerable families, it also shared positive data on the bank's recovered food: around 130,000 people could benefit from the collection.
